The Review Doctor
Terms of Service

Plain-English terms for working with us.

Last updated: June 3, 2026

Welcome to The Review Doctor. By using our website or services, you agree to these terms. We've kept them as readable as we can.

1. The service

The Review Doctor helps local businesses respond to customer reviews professionally and consistently. Depending on your plan, we draft responses for your approval or post them on your behalf under your direction.

2. Your account

  • You must be authorized to manage the business you sign up.
  • You're responsible for keeping your login secure.
  • You can cancel at any time from your dashboard or by email.

3. Content and approvals

  • All drafted responses remain your content once posted under your business profile.
  • In approval mode, nothing goes live without your written or in-app okay.
  • In autopilot mode, you authorize us to post within the brand voice and escalation rules you've set during onboarding.
  • You agree not to use our service to post defamatory, deceptive, or unlawful content.

4. Negative reviews

We do not delete, hide, or generate fake reviews. We follow each platform's posted policies. For negative reviews, our default approach is calm, professional, and to move the conversation offline — never to argue facts publicly.

5. Billing

  • Plans are billed monthly in advance unless otherwise agreed.
  • Payment processing is handled by Stripe, Inc. By subscribing, you also agree to Stripe's Services Agreement. We never see or store your full card number.
  • The Founding Client rate is locked for 6 months from your start date. Standard plan prices are locked for the lifetime of your subscription as long as it remains active and uninterrupted.
  • Cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing cycle. We do not pro-rate refunds for partial months.
  • Failed payments will pause service after a 7-day grace period. Your account is restored automatically when payment succeeds.

6. Acceptable use

  • No use of the service for illegal or harmful activity.
  • No attempts to reverse engineer or disrupt the platform.
  • No fake-review generation or coordinated review schemes.

7. Service guarantees & availability

We aim to draft and submit review responses within 48 hours of receipt. If we consistently miss this turnaround in a given month, contact us and we'll credit your next invoice.

The service is provided on an "as available" basis. While we work to maintain uptime, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, since we depend on third-party platforms (Google, Stripe, our hosting providers) that may experience outages outside our control.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, The Review Doctor will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service. Our total liability in any twelve-month period is limited to the amount you paid us during that period.

9. Termination

Either party may end this agreement with written notice. We may suspend service immediately for abuse, non-payment, or violation of these terms. On termination, we revoke our access to your platforms and delete operational data within 30 days unless you ask us to keep it for handover.

10. Changes

We may update these terms as the service evolves. We'll notify you at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in San Diego County, California.
